TAI AMRI is a Jerseyite/Philadelphian Young Adult Friend, born & raised an African-American Quaker. He received a B.A. in Writing & Poetics from The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Na...ropa University in Boulder, Colorado, & is currently on a spiritual pause from a M.Div. program at Pacific School of Religion. He believes in the divinity of all beings & the natural r/evolution of all things, but in particular, he pursues his acknowledgement of child-like faith through his involvement as a first grade teacher in Germantown, Philadelphia.
CHERYL QUIMBA is a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland, & has been writing poetry since the day she first picked up a crayon & learned how to put letters together. She is currently biding time in the working world until she returns to school, & has plans to teach & continue writing poetry.
KIM GEK LIN SHORT is the author of two full-length collections, The Bugging Watch & Other Exhibits & the forthcoming China Cowboy, both from Tarpaulin Sky Press. Her chapbook Run was the 2010 Golden Gloves selection from Rope-A-Dope, & a previous chapbook, The Residents, is available from Dancing Girl Press. You can visit Kim at a reading or in Philadelphia, where she lives with her husband & daughter.
MICHELLE PUCKETT earned her BA in Writing from Naropa University & her MFA in poetry from Mills College. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming from Hot Metal Bridge, Bang Out San Francisco, The Walrus, Flaneur Foundry, A Trunk of Delerium, & Monkey Puzzle Magazine. She works as the Events Coordinator for Tarpaulin Sky & was the recipient of the 2009 Mary Merritt Prize in Poetry.

His chapbooks include The Pond (Greying Ghost Press 2009) and Abraham Lincoln’s Death Scene (Horse Less Press http://www.horselesspress.com 2007). His chapbook collaborations with Emily Kendal Frey include Ok, Goodnight (Futuretense Books 2010) and Team Sad (Cinematheque Press 2009). His DVD of poem-films, Little Blind Thing, was released by Poor Claudia in 2010. He lives and teaches in Portland, Oregon, and blogs at The Lovely Arc (http://lovelyarc.blogspot.com).

Please join us for this reading to celebrate Bin Ramke's newest book & Julie Doxsee's return to Denver.
J'Lyn Chapman holds a PhD from the University of Denver, where she studied text and image in the work of W.G. Sebald. She is the Graduate Academic Advisor and a lecturer at Naropa. As a writer, J'Lyn is working on a series of lyrical essays about sorrow and memory as well as a critical essay on images and text. Her work can be found in Sleepingfish, Fence, Thuggery & Grace and Conjunctions. Her chapbook, Bear Stories, was published by Calamari Press.
Julie Doxsee holds a PhD in English and Creative Writing from the University of Denver. Recent publications include Undersleep from Octopus Books 2008 and Objects for a Fog Death forthcoming in 2010 from Black Ocean. She currently lives in Istanbul on the European shores of the Bosphorus, in a village once known as a summer retreat for Ottomans on holiday. She teaches creative writing, academic writing, and literature courses at Koc University, a private university near the Black Sea.
Bin Ramke's most recent book is Theory of Mind: New and Selected Poems from Omnidawn. He edits the Denver Quarterly and is on the English Department faculty at the University of Denver, and also at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Elena Georgiou is the author of Rhapsody of the Naked Immigrants (Harbor Mountain Press, Sept. 2009) and mercy mercy me, which won a Lambda Literary Award for poetry, was a finalist for the Publishing Triangle Award, and was reissued by the University of Wisconsin Press in 2003. She is also co-editor (with Michael Lassell) of the poetry anthology, The World In Us (St. Martin’s Press). Georgiou has won an Astraea Emerging Writers Award, a New York Foundation of the Arts Fellowship, and was a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her recent work appears in Denver Quarterly, BOMB, MiPoesia, Lumina, Spoon River Review, Cream City Review, and Gargoyle. She is a member of the faculty in the MFA program at Goddard College, Vermont.
